About
Started in 1994 Learning In Style is a school for adult learners located in the Whittier neighborhood of Minneapolis that offers classes in English, computer skills, citizenship preparedness, and math.
Learning In Style School ensures that new community members can find jobs to support their families and attain citizenship to access resources, healthcare, and stability. It provides education opportunities to those working toward self-sufficiency in a new country, neighborhood, and home.
From July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023:
Students
acquire the "Four Language Skills" of reading, writing, speaking, and listening in English Online classes available for very advanced students
Several
students "zoomed" in to class from Togo, Russia, Colombia, and Turkey
100
in-person English classes for pre-literate to advanced learners
provide one-on-one tutoring, conversation practice, and logistical support for our students, teachers, and administrators
